Mike Preston President Mike Preston manages a company that has become synonymous with service, quality, integrity, and professionalism. He takes pride in the fact that Preston Pipelines is the first choice for Underground Pipeline Construction of most of the successful developers, contractors, and municipalities in the San Francisco Bay Area and in Northern California. As a teenager, Mike joined his father during summer vacations from high school, learning the business first hand. He agreed to take over the field operations from his father in 1977, a natural progression since he had experienced the cyclical ups and downs and the long hours needed to successfully run a company. Mike was eager to take the risks needed to run a corporate-style professionally structured company. After 10 years of managing Preston Pipelines, ownership of the company was transferred to him in 1987. Mike has surrounded himself with a professional management team and dedicated and experienced field personnel. Under Mike's leadership, Preston Pipelines has earned the respect and trust needed by completing jobs to the customer's satisfaction. A veteran of over 30 years experience in the underground construction industry, Mike has served as President of EUCA, the Engineering and Utility Contractors Association, and has been instrumental in the association since its inception. Mike has also served on the Board of Directors of the California Alliance for Jobs and the National Utility Contractors Association. He has been proactively involved in lobbying the legislature and public agencies for improvements for the industry.   - TOP -
