Preston Pipelines brings their private works attitude
of cooperation and problem solving to the highly technical
world of complex public works projects. Agencies and municipalities

PIPELINE PROJECTS
The P565 Distribution System Project for the Semi Tropic Water
Storage District in Wasco California was a $15 million dollar
project for Preston Pipelines. This project was immediately
followed by a $2 million dollar WB216 Improvement project.
The work included almost 16,000 lineal feet of 48”-66” RCP
installation. As well, a central pumping plant location included
forming and pouring the concrete sumps at the water intake,
with all trash racks, hand railing, and catwalks. 5 Vertical
turbine pumps were installed, along with 36”, 48” and
54” flow meters, motor control units, and all electrical
facilities. 51’ tall and 75’ tall welded steel
tanks were constructed, and epoxy coated welded steel header
piping and valving at end user turnouts.
MUNICIPAL FACILITIES
Preston recently completed the $1 million Pavilion Station
Water Storage Tank, Pump Station, and Motor Control Center
for San Jose Water Company. This project entailed the construction
of a 98,800 gallon steel tank, a 500 GPM Pump Station, all
grading and paving activities, fencing, retaining walls,
drainage, electrical, lighting, and the construction of the
pump house.
The project was complicated by site space restrictions and
the shared approach to the adjacent Fire Station facility requiring
unobstructed access.
