MIKE PRESTON
President

As the owner of Preston Pipelines, Mike Preston oversees a company that has become synonymous with service, quality, integrity, and professionalism in the underground piping industry.

During high school, Mike started working with his father, Dee, who founded the company in 1970. In 1977, Mike was put in charge of Preston Pipelines’ field operations, where he learned the business first-hand, working on a variety of construction projects.

Mike enjoyed the challenge of helping to manage the company, and in 1987, he was ready to take over as owner and president of Preston Pipelines. He has surrounded himself with a highly professional management team, and dedicated and experienced field personnel. Under Mike's leadership, Preston Pipelines has earned the respect and trust of customers by consistently completing jobs to the highest standards of quality.

An industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience in the underground construction business, Mike has served as president of the Engineering and Utility Contractors Association (EUCA), and has been instrumental in leading the association since its inception. Mike has also served on the board of directors of the California Alliance for Jobs and the National Utility Contractors Association. He has been proactively involved in lobbying the legislature and public agencies for improvements for the industry.
